Reporting to the Operations Manager and Managing Director, I was responsible for managing the maintenance needs of various nationwide retail clients, dealing with approximately 100 open projects at any given time, from receipt of a purchase order through to completion and invoicing. On behalf of this NSI Gold accredited security company, I worked with clients to design and prepare quotations and tenders for security systems including monitored intruder alarms, CCTV, fire alarms, access control and automatic gates.I was responsible for generating installation work with a view of keeping the team of in house engineers fully occupied. This involved completing on site surveys and securing business, utilising leads created from my own prospecting and from a variety of sources, including leads generated in house, business to business referrals and enquiries and recommendations from existing clients. I was good at creating and developing relationships with clients at all levels including general domestic, commercial, high net worth domestic, and the education sector. In order to ensure clean orders, I was responsible for providing support when required to the installation engineers, managing any site specific issues that may have occurred and ensuring works were completed in the time I had allocated.I was also tasked with selling maintenance and monitoring contracts to secure long term recurring revenue for the company. In order to carry out these tasks effectively, I worked independently to learn new and existing fire and security system products and how they fit together along with BS and EN standards as laid down by NSI.
