  Accounts and Audit Manager, managing a team of twelve, ranging from apprentices to qualified Chartered Accountants. I joined in 2004 after passing my AAT exams as a senior, working up to a supervisor. At this time I studied towards my ACA qualification and became a Chartered Accountant in 2009. I have been in the management role since 2012, in which time the firm has gone through a period of high growth in not just client numbers but also the sectors our clients are involved in, as well as the move to a bigger and better new office in Belmont Business Park. This role involves being responsible for c500 clients ranging from small sole traders, multi-million pound charities, large Limited company audits and Multi Academy Trust (MAT's) accounts preparation and audit. As well as the role giving me large exposure to numerous sectors, specifically the third sector and Academy Trusts, I also therefore have a wide knowledge base and experience in not only FRS102, but also The FRS102 SORP. My work also involves a lot of exposure to Sage 50 accounts, and online accounting accounting products such as Xero and SageBuisness. This has resulted in myself being the lead trainer of our clients on Sage 50, from the first steps of basic bookkeeping up to report designing and advanced SOP/POP etc. I am also involved in the training of our staff on all online accounting portals (KashFlow, Xero and SageBusiness) in order for them to be able to help and guide our clients on this software. Just recently becoming Quikbooks and Sage business certified in order to be in the best possible position ready for MTD and being able to use, advise & train staff and clients on all major market leading online bookkeeping platforms. Our office in Durham has expanded and is now trading as RMT Ribchesters, with our client base mainly made of of entities from County Durham, Tyne & Wear and Teesside. This role now involves me being responsible for c650 clients ranging from small sole traders, multi-million pound charities, large Limited company audits and Multi Academy Trust (MAT's) accounts preparation and audit.
