I taught CompTIA standards including troubleshooting, computer hardware, operating systems, peripheral devices and networking. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook training. I also taught the soft skills necessary to survive in our modernized and changing world. Soft Skills training includes time management skills, conflict resolution, creative problem solving, dressing for a corporate job, and interview skills. IT-Ready is an eight week program for students with little to no IT training, at the end of the eight weeks students are prepared to pass their A+ CompTIA certification and have the necessary soft skills to prepare them for a career in the IT industry as Technical Support or Help Desk associates.
