A proposed predictive preemptive approach initiate’s recovery action early by detecting that link is likely to break soon and finds an alternative path before the cost of a link failure incurred. More specifically, the algorithm consists of two components: detecting a path that is likely to be disconnected soon and finding a better path then switching to it. This algorithm improves the performance of AODV based on the parameters such as throughput, loss rate and number of packets dropped using NS-2. Show less
