  Used DMAIC methodology to develop and implement formal project charters in order to drive continuous improvement projects for financial benefit. Facilitated and continued the development of the Infrastructure Engineering Asset Management initiative and determined the functional requirements and benefits for Infrastructure Asset Management Systems.Primary activities and responsibilities included:• Lean Manager Certification- Earning and applying Lean Manufacturing ideologies for measurable and sustainable continuous improvements on all processes ultimately leading to teaching others the skills necessary to implement on their projects and within their departments. • Rail Study- Determined the time split between removing old rail and installing new rail. Rail removal costs are not capitalized. Study resulted in $2.3M saved in depreciation.• Integrated Division Track Works (IDTW) - Rollout completion to all 11 Engineering Divisions. Implemented training plan resulting in increased utilization.• Adjacent Track Time Study- Study revealed equipment efficiency bottlenecks in process resulting in changes to current processes.• Signal Maintainer Time Studies- Observed best practices and accurate Signal Maintainer test times to distribute across network seeking increased productivity through measurable standards. Show less Managed the coordination and construction of a safe and reliable railroad infrastructure including track, intermediate/absolute wayside signals, and control point bungalows on the S-line and Florida Improvement Projects (FIP). Provided construction engineering support for industrial and public projects in the State of Florida and South Georgia. Installed 150+ miles of timber, concrete, steel turnouts and 60+ miles of new track construction. The S-line project was completed under budget and on schedule for all 15 projects.Primary activities and responsibilities included: • Working with various groups within CSX (Transportation, Intermodal, Procurement, Public Projects, Maintenance of Way, Bridge, Communications & Signal, Environmental and Properties Services) and with other entities outside of CSX (General and Signal Engineering Consultants, State DOT's, etc.) to develop overall construction plan and in service plan for infrastructure projects. • Providing construction management support to the project teams (CSX Maintenance of Way, CSX Signal Construction, General Contractors and others) to execute the construction of railroad infrastructure projects.• Planning and participating in all of the curfews and signal suspensions. Leading the weekly progress meetings, managing projects budgets, reviewing and approving invoices and contractors expenses associated with infrastructure projects. • Prompting safety culture and ensuring compliance, conducting weekly and monthly safety observations, participating in CSX Design & Construction Quarterly Meetings and Safety Overlap Meetings. • Reviewing and approving industries engineering plan, preparing AFE’s (Authority for Expenditure) and managing the construction of industrial sidetracks, assisting industries with project execution and resolving any standards deviations.
