Participated in all parent-teacher conferences, school meetings, and establishment of new Taller classroom materials. Led weekly English language sessions with older students.

  Filled many roles for a remote off-grid artist residency and guest lodge in Lake Clark National Park, Alaska. Artist residency program included residents for up 4 residents for 6 week stays in all mediums. Skills developed relate mostly to fulfilling needs for guests and artists in remote and off-grid places accessible only by plane and boat, requiring constant flexibility and creativity due to limited resources. Mastered small boat operation, generator operation and living with limited or no power or water, equipment operation including chainsaw, log-splitter, ATV, landscaping equipment and septic management.   Art in the archives at scripps institution of oceanography

  Developed a new program on-campus at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography (SIO). Art in the Archives is an art-science club attended by both students and faculty in partnership with the Benthic Invertebrates Collection. Members and attendees have the opportunity to create art inspired by samples from the historic Benthic Invertebrates collection, and learn about each species and their collection story with presentations from the Collections Manager, Charlotte Seid PhD, and top Scripps researchers as well as visting professors from the UCSD Art Department. This program was intended as a holistic space for all students and faculty at SIO to connect with the impressive collections, organisms of the sea, and creative practices. Show less
