Mastered small boat operation, generator operation and living with limited or no power or water, equipment operation including chainsaw, log-splitter, ATV, landscaping equipment and septic management.       Developed a new program on-campus at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography (SIO). Art in the Archives is an art-science club attended by both students and faculty in partnership with the Benthic Invertebrates Collection. Members and attendees have the opportunity to create art inspired by samples from the historic Benthic Invertebrates collection, and learn about each species and their collection story with presentations from the Collections Manager, Charlotte Seid PhD, and top Scripps researchers as well as visting professors from the UCSD Art Department. This program was intended as a holistic space for all students and faculty at SIO to connect with the impressive collections, organisms of the sea, and creative practices. Show less
