Worked for various clients including Xcite Energy, Ithaca Energy, National Grid. Experienced in all areas of well design, planning and operations including, logistical management, casing design, conductor & riser analysis, directional drilling, programme writing, regulatory compliance and reporting, contract management, equipment and services procurement & tendering, supervision of offshore operations and personnel, rig selection, safety planning, time and cost estimates, AFE and cost tracking, well suspension & abandonment planning, cost controls, final operations reporting (EOWR) and cost reconciliation.•Well design, planning and engineering working to government policies and ADTI guidance documents and operational procedures.•Experience using Landmark well planning software Wellplan and Stresscheck.•Preparing time and cost estimates, compiling AFE.•Preparing risk assessment documents for peer review.•Ensuring safety is never sacrificed for expediency and promoting the use of rig safety culture and tools to try and ensure incident free operations. •Writing well / detailed drilling programmes.•Procurement of materials, equipment and services for well operations.•Coordinating suppliers and service providers.•Preparing project equipment lists and loadout lists.•Providing daily onshore support during operational phase of projects.•Contract management between ADTI, Clients, Drilling Unit Providers and Service Providers.•Monitoring performance and recording NPT and lessons learned.•Daily cost tracking during project operations.•Project close out reporting, compiling comprehensive end of well reports. Show less Assigned to the Transocean 704 semi-sub drilling unit working on various ADTI projects in the North Sea for several clients. Duties included assisting the Drilling Supervisor in the daily management of rig operations, compile daily drilling reports, supervise equipment to/from the rig, verify calculations, supervise critical well operations such as cement jobs, well control, casing tally’s, drilling parameters etc.… communicate information back to the onshore team. As WSDE the duties and responsibilities I have experience in are:-•Preparing daily drilling reports, casing tallies, cement calculations, daily work instructions, kick sheets and various other documents as required.•Becoming fully immersed in rig safety culture and using rig safety tools to try and ensure an incident free workplace, and encouraging other crew members to do likewise.•Optimising offshore logistical planning and preparing daily lookaheads.•Inspection of all rental tools and tangibles arriving on the rig to ensure that the correct items have been received and are fit for purpose.•Management of rig and service company personnel.•Offshore contract management.•Supervision of critical offshore operations such as drilling, cement jobs, wireline, well control.•Operational performance monitoring, recording of NPT and lessons learned. •Optimising operations to minimize operational flat spots.•Monitoring and recording operational parameters such as torque and drag to avoid potential stuck-pipe issues and operational downtime. Show less As Trainee Well Engineer I was assigned to the Transocean Galaxy 1 jack-up drilling unit as an additional member of the rigs crew in order to gain rig site experience and a full working knowledge of rig site operations, equipment, safety culture, processes and procedures. I progressed through the various crew positions, including Roughneck, Derrickman and Assistant Driller in order to gain rig experience and understand the operational difficulties, roles and responsibilities associated with each crew position. Eleven years’ experience working in the oil & gas industry, primarily in drilling operations for various clients within the North Sea, New Zealand, Australia and Asia Pacific. Experience includes onshore and offshore well planning and operations, (land rigs, jack-ups, semi-subs). Directional and horizontal well planning, conventional and unconventional drilling operations, problematic/unconventional wells (shallow reservoirs, heavy-oil, unconsolidated reservoirs, carbon capture wells), well cost and time analysis, HSE safety and regulatory planning, rig selection and technical studies. Show less Performing well design, planning & engineering activities for multiple projects throughout New Zealand, Australia and Asia Pacific. Lead Engineer in charge of small engineering teams completing various concept select and feasibility studies to prove-up feasibility of various projects for clients throughout New Zealand, Australia and Asia Pacific. Projects include onshore, offshore and deep-water conventional drilling operations, extended reach side-tracks, drilling side-tracks using alternative drilling solutions such as coil tubing and hydraulic workover units, onshore and offshore well abandonment studies. Projects typically involve proving feasibility/drillability, time and cost estimates, regulatory requirements, key risk identification, identification of key equipment, services and personnel, long lead equipment identification. Complete critical reviews and assessments of well designs, costs & programmes for various Asia Pacific clients who are considering farming into a project or require an independent review of licences partners proposed designs.Technical lead & wellsite supervisor during onshore coil tubing sand clean-out operation for Origin Energy NZ. Project this involved operational programme writing, HSE and logistical planning, preparing all regulatory and operational documentation, procurement of materials and services and management of project logistics. During operations I was the technical lead and site supervisor for the project which involved ensuring operations were conducted as planned, managing operational changes, management and coordination of equipment, services and personnel. Preparing daily operational and cost reportsKey in Implementing well examination throughout New Zealand and performing independent well examinations for various operators throughout New Zealand, Australia and Asia to ensure well designs are fit for purpose, meet minimum regulatory requirements and good oilfield practice.
