In 1972 I set up my own architectural practice. In 1973 I trained as an Arbitrator with the RIAI. After 32 years at the helm of a very successful and award winning practice I sold my equity in 2004. Following this I renewed my interest in Arbitration and set up ORIORDANADR a dispute resolution consultancy. In 2009 I became an accredited Mediator with FriaryLaw.I am pleased to bring my 40 years experience as a professional, an employer, an architect and a leader in business, with a staff compliment of 40 professional and technical highly skilled people, dedicated to the highest standards of their profession, to guide parties through their dispute resolution process which can often be stressful and worrying, to a fair and equitable outcome, without undue delay and in a private and cost effective manner. In recent years I have managed disputes arising out of the Public Works Contract and dealt with complex differing legal interpretations of several of its clauses. The value of these disputes can be in the millions of euro.More recently I have involved myself in Commercial Mediation where speed and costs are attractions to disputants. I work to facilitate the parties to settle their disputes in private, without delay and always in their control. My background as an employer of 40 professional staff, as an Architect with 40 years experience and as a good communicator, provides me with knowledge, experience, understanding and integrity, to manage disputes between parties where often misunderstanding has developed into mistrust. I seek out the truth and endeavour to bring fairness & equity to the outcome and hopefully where good relationships can be restored. Show less
