Included basic Soldier tasks, specialty tasks (career field specific) and collective tasks necessary for medics, mechanics, cooks, a battalion level staff (planning, IT, HR, Logistics), transportation and support sections as well as combat engineers and an engineer reconnaissance team.       Provided quality assurance for Department of State (DoS) contracted and funded construction projects in support of the Iraqi Government in Wasit Province, Iraq. Served as the Contracting Officer's Representative for DoS projects, inspecting projects to ensure work was done to Iraqi Government and contract specified standards. Coordinated with the Provincial Government to determine future construction projects to submit for DoS funding. Validated scopes of work, requests for bids and contractor submittals for new projects and made recommendations to the Contracting Officer.       Served at the Mission Command Training Program at Fort Leavenworth, KS; designed and delivered command post exercises to train brigade and battalion staffs and commanders on Mission Command with a focus on parallel planning and reducing staff inefficiencies. This included all aspects of the exercise, from scenario development to after action reviews. During the exercises, I supported supported the training units by acting as a trainer and mentor for staff officers, providing insights on how other organizations solved similar challenges and helping them see themselves by developing After Action Reviews in conjunction with their chain of command. My focus area was in Protecting the Force, Combat Engineering, Chemical/Biological/Radiation/Nuclear (CBRN) Hazards, Military Police Operations and Air Defence Operations as well as supporting the Army's Targeting Processes for both counter-insurgency and major combat operations. During those two years I manned, equipped, trained, validated, deployed and established steady state operations for a 500 person organization.
