My main responsibility as Sales Applications Analyst within the Prospect and Lead Management (PaLM) team is to ensure the sales teams always have current and accurate leads to follow, to aid new business generation. All leads must be added to the PaLM database, alongside existing customers, then cleansed and kept up to date by the account manager assigned to the account, to provide clarity of the status of opportunities to all areas of the business. This role consists of a number of ad hoc projects, primarily to support sales in delivering the category plan, by the creation of reports to aid decision making and provide transparency to ensure that the most critical leads are pursued and closed in an efficient and timely manner. The key aspect of my role as Sales Controlling Analyst is to support the Sales Co-Pilots in all aspects of customer financial management. This includes being accountable for controlling accurate Trade Spend actuals, in particular through providing insight and analysis using SRM tools, along with presenting and leading action plans to improve our trade spend ways of working. I am also responsible for supporting and challenging Sales and CCSD teams and driving compliance. I am currently the SPOC for the Food, Dairy and Nutrition categories. This is an exciting new opportunity to develop in my career, as each category comes with its own challenges, and therefore the support I provide must be tailored to those key goals. Show less The principle of my role is to ensure our accounts are correct each month for trade spend. A critical factor in this is to influence and coach my sales colleagues, to ensure accounting and compliance guidelines are followed. Throughout the last 3 working days of the month, I communicate regularly with the Category Financial Controller to provide a forecasted month end Net Net Sales (NNS) position, whilst explaining key movements between weekly call, actuals and submission. The CEA role has therefore been a fantastic opportunity to build both my influencing skills and my external awareness.During my time as a Commercial Expenditure and Audit Recovery Analyst, I have worked as the Lead for the Nutrition, then Food & Dairy and most recently Waters categories as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC), as well as supporting various customer accounts on the Beverage, Food and Dairy categories.
