Woman of Excellence PHH Arval Oct 2006 Award Presentation comments from CEO, George Kilroy, In early 2004, I had the pleasure of presenting the Cendant Chairman's Award for PHH Arval to one of our distinguished employees. That winner was the last winner of the award, for reasons that we all know. It seems somehow appropriate that the inaugural winner of the PHH Arval Woman of Excellence Award -- almost 3 years later -- is the same person. She was voted as the winner of this award by the Managers and above at PHH Arval. They had a variety of reasons for choosing Pam from among several terrific PHHers and I wouldn't be doing their vote justice if I didn't say a few things about Pam. Pam is that rare, diverse talent, in every sense of that word. She's a left brain - right brain thinker. She's a great leader and a great team member. There's no functional mold that contains her. Earlier in her career she was successful in several roles in Finance. But in the past two years, she's made a big career move to the operations side of our business, where she's shown talents in processes improvement, product building, and customer relations. In that move she showed guts, a desire for growth, change and continuous learning. And she modeled a great career management step for others. Not the first time she's done that at PHH. Pam can be both pure business, or all heart. She's one of the most active and committed employees at PHH in our wide range of charitable and community outreach activities. Last month, Pam was promoted to Vice President at PHH Arval. So what a way to end the year, two high profile recognitions of her all-round excellence, her contributions to the business, and her support and encouragement for her co-workers. Show less

I effectively merged a focus on the company's bottom line profitability with a view toward client responsiveness. During this year, I was heavily involved in a high-profile, company sponsored charity event, the PHH Silent Auction for the United Way. I provided the financial direction and accounting expertise to run the many elements of the charity event. Show less
