Shared responsibility with the Division Administrator for the operation of the Division office. In the absence of the Division Administrator, assumed the duties and responsibilities of the Division Administrator for administering the Federal-aid highway program.       I currently serve on the newly createdEmergency Relief Team (HISM-80), withinthe Office of Stewardship, Oversight, andManagement. I use my extensive working knowledge and experience in programmanagement, federal-aid emergencyrelief program requirements, and financialmanagement policy and informationsystems to promote and advance FHWA’snational Emergency Relief (ER) Program,including implementing resiliency andequity in design and construction. In thisposition, I work with our transportationpartners which include federal, state, andlocal bridge and highway engineers.I work on an excellent andhigh functioning team that focuses onsupport of State, Federal, local, and Tribalagencies’ efforts to recover frominfrastructure damage caused by naturaldisasters and catastrophic failures.Accomplishments and Results: I led andcreated a new initiative to implementvirtual Emergency Relief /ResiliencyPeer-Exchanges withFHWA Division Offices and DOT’snationwide with the goal and objective toshare and promote the followingknowledge and information sharing: ER Resilient Design and ConstructionCase Studies and Best Practices (nationwide).       Highly Automated System Senior Engineer/Program Analyst

      I was a founding member of a new congressionally mandated and funded Highly Automated Systems Safety (HASS) Center of Excellence (COE) to review, assess and validate the safety of automated technologies across all modes of the USDOT. I was one of the few who were competitively selected to stand up the HASS COE. I workef to establish lines of communication and mechanisms for collaboration with industry and academia. I was competitively selected to serve on a6-month detail in a Senior Leadership roleto stand up the newly created HighlyAutomated Systems Safety Center ofExcellence (HASS-COE) in the USDOTOffice of the Assistant Secretary forResearch and Technology (OST-R). Iplayed a leadership role in thedevelopment of the HASS-COE from theground up, which required proof ofconcept, product and servicesdevelopment, technology developmentand implementation to track, monitor,market and communicate the current and future products and services of the HASS-COE. I performed staff planning, and organizationaldevelopment of a new office at the highestlevels of the USDOT. I led he creation of the offices firstStaffing and Organzational Plan and facilitated extensive seniorstakeholder engagement discussionsacross all USDOT modes (FHWA,MARAD, FRA, FAA, NHTSA, etc.) all OSToffices, and academia and industry. TheHASS-COE's mission is to create a highly skilled workforce within USDOTcapable of reviewing, assessing, andvalidating the safety of automatedtechnologies within the HASS-COE andall modes of transportation.
