      (8/2005-4/2006) Interconnect GroupInterconnect project allows a Unisys 2200 program to call a native Linux program. Designed and coded many of the data conversion routines to convert Unisys 2200 data types to Linux data types. Coding was done in C++ using the Eclipse IDE with the CDT C++ plug-in running on Linux; CVS was used for source control. Wrote the test plan, all of the tests and debugged several of the problems found during testing. (2/2002-8/2004) Unisys SQL Optimizer ProductI performed the following tasks of this project which used an iterative / incremental development process: 1) implemented the auto synchronization feature of C# .NET which is used to prevent concurrent use of some C# objects. 2) Developed a Visual Basic 6.0 test tool for saving session information from the SQL database into an XML file. 3) Wrote procedures for the localization of our product to other languages. 4) Wrote a technical white paper: “Comparative Analysis of NetIQ and Quest SQL Management Products.” 5) Wrote NetIQ AppManager knowledge scripts (VB script) that interface to the Unisys SQL Optimizer. 6) Installed multiple instances of SQL Server on an ES7000 16 processor server and used Benchmark Factory to simulate up to 450 users running TPC benchmark. Tested various SQL Server configuration settings to find the optimum performance settings. 7) Presented a PowerPoint presentation that was filmed for a training CD.(4/1998-3/2001) Unisys PowerClient ProductLead support analyst for the communications component of the PowerClient product. Designed and coded the support for Named Pipes and RATL connections from the client to the server application. Rewrote several code modules of this product. Coding was done in Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 and ClearCase Attaché was used for source control. Fixed over 100 problems reported on this product, which resulted in a dramatic improvement in its reliability. Show less

This position is a good fit for me, since I have that hard to find mix of both technical skills (BS in Computer Science, MS in Software Engineering) and business acumen (BA in Accounting). I am able to understand user's business goals. After working 4 months of this 6 month contract, I became a permanent employee of Lender Processing Services (LPS) on December 27, 2010. Coding and Testing in XML and C# .NET on software used to process Bankrupties and Foreclosures. Show less
