      - Main responsibilities are helping children K-3 grade reach grade-level proficiency in literacy through a variety of literacy interventions, recording and interpreting data, serving at school site full-time, organizing the necessary materials to successfully implement interventions- Other responsibilities include supplemental service hours to reach goal of 1700 hours by the end of 11-month service term; supplemental service includes but is not limited to educational service in the community- Started an after school music program at elementary school host site, which includes teaching private piano lessons and teaching small group percussion ensemble classes to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders- At service site, helped 16 students 1st - 3rd grade achieve grade level reading proficiency - Recognized by Serve Colorado's Member Monday series for going above and beyond service duty by planning events for Colorado Reading Corps members, involvement at school site, positive attitude, and passion and dedication to service site and children served Show less
