      Intern

During my summer internship, I am leading an oyster reef creation project along with doing water monitoring and phytoplankton laboratory work on the oyster farm sites. My main objectives for the reef creation project are broken up into 3 objectives:1. Planning a presentable product for local authorities and sponsors to show the procedure for site selection for the new oyster reef, including physical characteristics and stakeholder management.2. Creating a comprehensive plan for future monitoring of the oyster reef based on internationally recognized scientific literature to follow after reef construction. 3. Designing the new oyster reef itself based on previous international successes and available resources. I am extremely excited and grateful to be working here at Dibba Oysters and am expanding my knowledge with invaluable experience. Not only working within oyster reef creation, but also getting to see the inner workings of a world-class sustainable aquaculture organization is a highly rewarding experience. Show less
