Jacobs Program Manager for CPRA's Mississippi River Sediment Diversion Program. Project and Program management services for CPRA to implement the Mid-Barataria and Mid-Breton large-scale sediment diversion projects. The program will integrate the design, permitting, and construction of the projects in south Louisiana. The two 75,000 cfs river diversions will re-establish a connection between the Mississippi River and the Barataria and Breton basins to provide sediment deposition to build and provide long-term ecological benefits to the estuaries. Jacobs is assisting CPRA implement both projects through the alternative delivery method, Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), a first for CPRA. The program is also supporting CPRA to develop processes and systems to effectively manage the future construction and long-term operation of the diversions. We are working closely with CPRA to manage the NFWF grant administration funding process, which is vital for successful implementation of the diversion projects. These diversions are keystone projects in CPRA’s Coastal Master Plan, and the program team is collaborative, including both Jacobs and CPRA staff working daily, side-by-side, to deliver CPRA’s most iconic project to date.
