  In 2000 I was employed by the global television and commercial rights holders to the MotoGP World Championship to work as their in-house English journalist in Barcelona, travelling to attend every round onsite. Moving to a new country was a challenge that I relished and my role quickly developed from writing press releases and editing the website to commentating on the live television world feed, producing television features for global broadcast partners and initiating new media projects such as an audio and video podcast that remains a mainstay feature of motogp.com. Working with the company's different departments also gave me an understanding of the fundamentals of global sports rights, marketing and commerce. Show less

  After five years spent as pit-lane reporter, in 2011 I became the main anchor of the BBC's coverage of the MotoGP World Championship, broadcasting to audiences of up to three million viewers in the UK. I also hosted a weekly NFL play-off highlights show on BBC2 and joint-anchored their live coverage of Superbowl XLIV in Miami, whilst also reporting on flagship soccer magazine shows ‘Football Focus’ and ‘Match of the Day’. Starting my television presenting career in a such high-profile role meant that I quickly had to learn how to deal with pressure and scrutiny, whilst also meeting the demanding standards of the industry’s benchmark broadcaster.   For the past ten years I have been Eurosport's lead presenter on all their live motorcycle racing, including onsite and studio coverage of World and British Superbikes and MotoGP World Championships. I have also presented the Isle of Man TT races for ITV since 2018, as well as the British MotoGP since 2021. In 2018 I also presented live coverage of the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang for Eurosport and Discovery. Being the anchor of a live television production requires a character that is diligent in preparation and calm under pressure, as well as being an articulate and highly effective communicator. As the main anchor I am also the focal point of a team effort and understand the importance of ensuring all individuals feel valued and willing to work towards a shared goal. Show less
