Assisted with the pre shipyard planning and restarting and testing of all systems after shipyard• Minor shipyard – 2.5 year survey, both engine and LNG cargo systems• Thorough knowledge of planned maintenance and purchasing systems such as RAST, Maximo• Trained on the use of Omnitrend Vibrational Analysis Software, Doctor Diesel, Kyma System Monitoring Systems, andOptialign Computerised Laser Alignment System• Experience working with Classification Societies on surveys and system modification and design; Systems and machinery that I have been responsible for and maintained are as follows:• Sea Water Systems – Both plate and tubular coolers, sea water system modifications and Chloropac systems installation and commissoning• Hydraulic Systems – Overhauling, troubleshooting and systems modifications in shipyard• Diesel Generators - MAN B&W and Wartsila medium speed diesel generators, routine servicing, troubleshooting, and major overhauls• Steam Boilers – High pressure boilers (63 bar) – maintenance and troubleshooting, system modifications, major surveys and repairs• Steam Turbines- Kawasaki propulsion turbine rated at 25,150 KW, Shinko alternator sets rated at 3300KW,6.6kv, Coffin Steam driven multi-stage feed pumps. Jan 2009 - Jul 2016I'm currently working on Chevron''s new DFDE ships that are built for the new Gorgon project in Australia. Currently sailing on spot market in various different operating conditions. Have completed numerous STS cargo transfer and loaded the 1st export cargo from the UK.Working on the Gas plant and cargo conditioning systems to provide safe and reliable power and propulsion systems for the Diesel electric plant. All plant is High Voltage and engines are tri fuel medium speed diesels I am a 2nd Engineering Officer on Chevron's 138000m3 LNG carrier.The ship is a dual fuel, steam powered vessel.The position consists on watchkeeping,ongoing maintenance and planned maintenance of all systems onboard.The trade is between Australia and japan on the Wheatstone project,a combined project between Chevron,BP and Shell.
