  As the Team Lead of Team Daedalus Racing had been actively involved in the design and fabrication of All-terrain vehicles:• Lead a team of 50+ teammates, competing in SAE BAJA All-terrain vehicle competitions all across India.• Achieved 3rd rank in FMAE BAJA 2019, from 30+ participating teams all across India. • Won the 1st prize in suspension and acceleration tests.Designed and fabricated multiple All-terrain vehicles:• Started from designing custom wheel hubs, chassis, steering, and suspension setups• Designed the systems in CAD using SOLIDWORKS and ran simulations in ANSYS and LOTUS SFT• Machined and Fabricated the custom sub-assemblies and assembled the whole car• Ran rigorous static and dynamic tests on the vehicle Show less

  • Designed a new tooling for mounting the dashboard inside the vehicle using SOLIDWORKS and ANSYS increasing final assembly line efficiency.• Eliminated inefficiencies in production using principles of lean manufacturing and the 3M's of manufacturing.• Analysis and reduction of scratches during final assembly using the 7 quality tools of production to identify and improve upon areas of concern.

  Human centered design project: ergonomic laptops

  As part of my Human Centered Design project, worked along with HP and:• Redesigned laptop chassis to eliminate the ergonomic deficiencies in traditional designs.• Started with conducting user research and generated concepts for potential solutions for common pain points.• Using value opportunity analysis and competitor analysis, filtered down our concepts.• Prototyped and validated our final concepts using CAD modeling, Wizard of Oz and 3D printing and showcased it in Jacob’s design showcase• Redesigned the traditional laptop hinge to provide more adjustability to the user for ergonomics.
