  I, along with my business partner, founded HKMaDesigns in September 2014 as an entrepreneurship school project for the course, Structuring the Start Up taught by Dr. Ellen Farrell. In this course, we were challenged to start a business of any kind with $20 start-up. We decided to venture into clothing. Our vision was to design a product for educational institutes that would create a variety of options for students, faculty and staff while increasing profits for the educational institutions. The company designed, made and sold t-shirts, golf shirts, etc. for Saint Mary's University and has ventured in to blazers. The Athletics Department actively supported the venture and purchased a large quantity of clothing featuring the Saint Mary's mascot, the husky.The intention is to expand HKMaDesigns into a gigantic clothing line while contributing a portion of revenue to a Woman and Children's Hospital that provides nutritional pre-natal care to mothers and for the babies and children up to five years of age.
