  At this position, I worked on two different projects. In the first one, I synthesized and characterized novel copolymers for use as electroactive media in fuel cells. This work was sponsored by the Fisk-Vanderbilt Masters-to-PhD Bridge Program under the advisory of Dr David Cliffel (VU) and Dr Arnett (FU)In a second role, I studied the electrochemical behavior of water-soluble monolayer-protected clusters (MPCs) for potential use as redox couples in sensor applications I worked in the Thin Films Laboratory developing surface modification strategies, including self-assembly and surface-initiated polymerizations to tailor interfacial properties.
