  I was responsible for the development of media and communication materials for high-profile, complex and sensitive media and advertising campaign including Organ and Tissue Donation, Healthy Active Community and Schools grants initiatives while managing several high profile events and launches associated with both programs.Key responsibilities:- Developed, organised and executed all facets for various events and launches including Ministerial briefs, media kits, event logistics and coordination.- Managed the design and development of a wide array of publications, website content and external stakeholder liaison. - Managed procurement processes and contract management with suppliers.Key achievements:- Managed the communication and production of highly successful national school competitions for both Organ and Tissue Donation and the Healthy Active National Schools competition.- Developed, organised and liaised celebrity appearances with the campaigns’ high-profile Ambassadors including Harry Kewell, Hi-5, John Steffenson, Brooke Hogan, Michael Clarke and more across Australia attended by federal Ministers and MPs.- Assisted managing the communication elements and production of campaigns such as the Around Australia in 40 Days Walking Challenge, Healthy Active program, and the Community and Schools Grant program.   During my four years with DEWHA I worked across four public affairs responsible for Approvals and Wildlife, Environment Quality, Marine and Heritage divisions. I also temporarily acted as Public Affairs Officer Grade 2 for three months in 2010.Key responsibilities:- Devised communication strategies to promote and educate the public and various stakeholder groups on national environmental law and other departmental policies and legislation.- Liaised daily with the Minister’s Office, media and clients, and represented the department in external and internal client meetings.- Managed issues for each division and developed media handling notes, releases, community cabinet briefs, talking points, backgrounders, Q&As and factsheets for the Minister’s Office.- Managed the Public Affairs Media mailbox and completed daily media monitoring, flagging and escalating any issues with the Minister’s Office and relevant line areas including responsive talking points and holding statements.Key achievements:- Successfully managed and implemented the If in Doubt, Check it Out International Wildlife Trade campaign across the Australian tourism and airport industries.- Managed the procurement, design and communication facets of the National Threated Species Day 2008 campaign in consultation with WWF Australia. - Managed the design, production and distribution of a wide array of environmental publications, including policy statements, marketing collateral and products with strong attention to detail and delivering on time and under budget.   Centennial Parklands is Australia's leading public parklands, with more than 20 million visits made each year. As a self-funded public asset, we are far more than a management agency for open space. We are the largest community sports precinct in NSW, a popular venue for artistic and cultural events, at the heart of the film industry in Australia and are custodians of modern Australia's birthplace - the site of Federation in 1901.The Parklands in total is 360 hectares and encompasses: > Centennial Park> Moore Park > Moore Park Golf> Entertainment Quarter > Fox Studios> Royal Hall of Industries> Hordern Pavilion> Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre> Queens ParkThe three main parks (excluding the Entertainment Precinct) are listed on the State Heritage Register of NSW, and various components within the Parklands are of national, state or local heritage significance. My primary role at the Parklands is to provide communications for, and extensive liaison with the public on a wide range of activities including developing and implementing communication and consultation strategies for capitol work projects, events, interpretation and management plans.My day-to-day role specialises in proactive and reactive media management, as well as producing a wide range of communication pieces and strategies to position and promote Centennial Parklands as one of the leading urban parklands in the world.I provide front line responses to issues such as coordinating and staffing event noise management/incident hotlines, dealing face-to-face, telephone and written customer issues.My other roles include:> Social media> Statutory and promotional advertising in print, electronic and online media> Liaison with the Minister's Office and media officers, and other relevant stakeholders.
