The CES team created a contract for the supplier with the CES SILC SLP provider, and worked with the supplier to transition the CES SLP Inspection plan. The CES team then based themselves at the supplier’s site to support the introduction. The impact of this is an estimated reduction of defects found in SLP from 3.5% prior to August to currently below 1.5%. The CES QUA and CBU SQI team collaborate with the supplier to make this happen. The level of diligence to maintain a focused and capable SILC SLP inspection crew is a best practice for Cummins. This project is an attempt to transfer this discipline to the supplier. Show less
