Graduated the Flight Instructor Training Program, and am now a certified level 3 instructor and pro flier. My duties areto teach customers and skydivers how to fly, as well as ensure their safety in the wind tunnel. Routine safety inspectionsand monthly/annual tunnel maintenance. Created and taught a physics curriculum based on the physics of the wind tunnel at IFly Seattle. Presented this course togroups of students of various ages.

Through atomic force microscopy and data analysis, we assess and characterize the morphology of phthalocyanine thin films for use in photovoltaics. My role is to produce samples, analyze images, and build the framework for characterization. Production of the samples are done through thermal evaporation and AFM is used for imaging. I design algorithmic models in R and Python defining new parameters for quantitative analysis of sample morphologies.

      Research & Development Scientist

We test, design, and optimize industry-leading Lithium-Ion batteries, from e-paddleboards to EVs, VTOLs, and satellites. Using in-house designed calorimeters and thermal modeling in Python and Excel, I lead ARC testing to quantify the energy release of cells during thermal runaway. Lifecycle performance analyses are routinely done, taking impedance and capacity measurements under various external conditions and SOHs, as well as design assessment and failure analysis through in-situ and destructive testing. I manage thermal conductivity measurements of cylindrical and pouch cells with custom fixtures and built models to quantify the results. Project data analysis falls within my scope of work, preparing technical reports and communicating results to clients and team members. We stay up to date with the latest developments in academic research related to Li-Ion batteries to ensure we remain at the forefront of our field. Show less
