      • Took over the struggling Withrow soccer program on an interim basis in October 2013. Officially named head coach in August 2014.• Expanded one team of thirteen players largely made up of refugees from low-income areas to forty players on two teams representing fifteen countries in two seasons.• Developed a widely heralded fundraising campaign that began in June 2014. This campaign, utilizing a diverse array of social media platforms and prominently featured in local news media, raised nearly $16,000 dollars in cash and equipment donations for the program from local stakeholders. Associated fundraising programs, such as "It Starts With The Shoes" started by volunteer assistant coach Jim Frank, netted the program an additional $9,000 in cash and equipment donations, for a combined total of $25,000 in a little over one calendar year.• Led a widely celebrated advocacy campaign against policies that denied refugee students with interrupted educations the ability to participate in high school sports. Featured by both The Cincinnati Enquirer and USA Today, the campaign was shared on Twitter alone over 1,000 times, including by players at the highest level of American soccer, the MLS. The campaign is widely credited with the state of Ohio's adoption of the most refugee-friendly athletic bylaws in the United States.• Designed and created program website, using both Squarespace and WordPress, in order to facilitate donations and attract volunteers.• Developed, filmed, and distributed fundraising videos using iMovie and various social media platforms (Twitter, YouTube, GoFundMe).• Responsible for volunteer recruitment to fill auxiliary roles (assistant coaches, meal providers).• Led team from a -28 goal differential in first year (2013) to a -5 differential in last year (2015). Show less • Managed over $29,000 per annum in federal grants supporting after-school programs for refugee students from 2014-2016.• Authored all semi-annual reports and grant applications, resulting in a 17% per annum increase in funding beginning in August 2015.• Expanded and developed the Muskie-Tiger program, a collaborative partnership between Xavier University and Withrow High School providing tutoring to refugee students. From 2014-2015, the program received official recognition from Xavier, expanded the number of tutors from ten to more than sixty, and hosted over eight events on Xavier’s campus.• Responsible for the setup and implementation of after-school tutoring programs at both Withrow High School and Academy of World Languages. • Students participating in these programs saw an average improvement of 101.5 points per subject area on the 2014 OTELA from 2013. 55.3% of these students saw their composite scores increase by at least one level from 2013. • Worked with teachers, administrators, private businesses, and leaders in Cincinnati’s refugee communities to create programs/events that increased parent-educator communication.• Worked in conjunction with AWL staff to host events facilitating parent-teacher relationships, such as the 2014 and 2015 AWL International Festivals, an annual event featuring food and performances from over 53 countries.       Project Management & Communications Experience:• Responsible for communications strategy, content development, website, social media accounts (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook), publication management (reports, membership guides, leadership interviews, and online articles), weekly newsletter, and media relations.• Lead for the AmCham Sustainability Forum, an arena that aimed to facilitate the implementation of sustainable business practices by key stakeholders in the private sector.• Lead for the AmCham Rising Leaders program, a joint initiative with the US Embassy that aimed to promote diversity and connect the Oslo region’s most promising young talent with AmCham member companies.• Lead for sustainability and sector lead for the shipping, PR and communications, automotive, management consulting, industrial equipment, HR, and wine industries.       Project Management Experience:• Current PhD project addresses two of Norway's largest-ever development projects, the Pangani and Lower Kihansi projects in Tanzania. Successfully navigated complex multi-site archival analysis involving thousands of documents in Tanzania and Norway, in both English and Norwegian. Demonstrated proficiency in Excel-based data management, adept time management, and effective collaboration with key stakeholders such as the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD), the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dar es Salaam, and the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE).• Despite significant logistical challenges, time constraints, and the COVID-19 pandemic, my PhD project is on track to be completed five months ahead of schedule.• Conducted associated research on Norway's Oil for Development project in Tanzania, acquiring extensive knowledge of Norway's eInnsyn document journaling system. Successfully appealed six denied requests for document access against the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.Teaching Experience:• SUM 4300 Text Lab: Led a semester-long seminar series helping master students at SUM improve their writing, research methodologies, and communications skills (Spring 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021).• SUM 4100 Research Methods and Project Design: Led lectures on discourse analysis, discourse tracing, archival research, and how to integrate history into interdisciplinary research projects (Fall 2023).• SUM 4910 Internship: Will lead an elective course where SUM master’s students complete an internship with an NGO, research institution, private company, or government agency (Spring 2024).• Master’s Supervision: Successfully supervised a thesis on copper mining in Jordan defended spring semester 2023.
