  Researched plasmonic gold nanoparticles and photonic + plasmonic nanostructures. Took part in the nanofabrication, solved problems of fabrication robustness, characterised optical and structural properties. Co-authored one paper and two posters. Wrote simple python programs. Used the following techniques:-Pulsed Laser Deposition-Laser Ablation in water-UV-VIS spectroscopy-Atomic Force Microscopy-Scanning Electron Microscopy

  Research Intern

  Participation in a scientific project aiming at creation of improved version of Atomic Layer Deposition - important nanofabrication technique. I designed improvements to the experimental setup, diagnosed potential problems and solved some of them. I used optical and electron microscopy to characterise obtained layers. I used Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS, EDX) to gain better knowledge of deposition results.
