These wells featured 600m to 1000m horizontal sections with 7" monbore completions.

  I was the Rig Construction Manager responsible for all aspects of BP's interests in the Transocean newbuild drillship 'Discoverer Luanda' which was built at DSME yard in Goeje, South Korea. This included a $40mm programme of modifications for the deepwater PSVM development in Angola. This included the installation of permanent gravel packing and well testing lines, dual ROV spreads, an active heave crane and a number of key BOP modifications including a dual deadman system.A detailed rig integrity and acceptance programme was also delivered.
