  Makhla is a company that produces a handmade backpack, crafted by southern artisans using dried palm fronds from our Tunisian oasis. The bag is designed fashionably so it can combine both the traditional, authentic aspect and have a modern touch. The company main objective is to provide job opportunities for seasonal artisans and crafters and help reduce the quantities of palm waste that is damaging the southern ecosystem.

  The Hult Prize was established by Bertil Hult, and is an annual, year-long movement that crowd-sources ideas from MBA and college students after challenging them to solve a pressing social issue around topics such as food security, water access, energy, and education. The Hult family – founders of EF Education First – donates USD 1 million in seed capital to help the winning team launch a social enterprise.The Prize is a partnership between Hult International Business School and the United Nations Foundation.
