      Feb 2016 - Aug 2018
      IT Programme Manager

Following the global economic crisis in 2008, regulators in the UK introduced a host of reforms across the financial services industry to protect taxpayers and the wider economy in the event of another crisis. For big UK banks including HSBC, this legislation meant:1. In the UK, separating the retail business from the more risky investment business of the bank.2. Removing the interdependence between the different banks within HSBC.In this role I was responsible for: • Stakeholder management with business & IT across Foreign Exchange products to ensure a high quality and timely delivery. • Prioritisation of project deliverables considering the criticality of the requirements against time & funds available. • Implementation planning in advance of and management during multiple weekends of data migration implementationsKey Achievements: • Our programme won an European excellence in IT programme management for 2017. • Successful delivery of all legislative requirements 6 months ahead of the 2019 compliance date. • ANZ

      Dec 2018 - Sept 2022
      Senior Project Manager

The RBNZ BS11 outsourcing policy mandates that NZ banks demonstrate the capability to separate from their parent company within 6 hours or by 9am the following day in the event of a parent company failure. This programme involved remediating vendor contracts that are exclusively with the parent and identifying which outsourced functions could be reduced to form a “basic bank” in such a scenario. ANZ had a broad scope of outsourcing that required remediation to achieve compliance. During my time in this programme, I fulfilled three roles to help meet the ANZ board’s target of achieving compliance one year ahead of the 2023 deadline. Roles & key achievements: • Project manager: Delivered a General Ledger solution on schedule & under budget, allowing the transfer of remaining budget to other BS11 projects in need of funding. Conducted budget forecasting and monitoring throughout the project across both business and technology delivery. • Programme Dependency Manager: Introduced governance processes, enabling senior management to monitor programme delivery risk areas effectively. I successfully adapted and contributed to the creation of governance and reporting structures for the overall programme. • Programme Test Manager: Oversaw the test phases of 12 parallel projects with fluid delivery schedules, managing three test managers and eight test analysts. • IAG

      Jan 2023 - now
      Project Manager

I have successfully project managed four initiatives at IAG, each focused on delivering remediation to customers owed historical refunds of policy premiums or excess on their claims. I employ a combination of end-to-end project plans and milestones to size and estimate effort and schedule, iterative quarterly planning to engage teams we depend on, and fortnightly JIRA sprint planning with the project team to deliver. My role involves consulting with and obtaining approvals from business stakeholders across multiple brands within IAG, New Zealand’s largest general insurer. I work closely with various teams responsible for designing, building, testing and deploying our solutions, as well as those who communicate with and refund our customers. This includes collaboration with First Line Risk, Legal, Product, Pricing, Platform, Customer Communications Specialists, and finance teams. Additionally, I have established strong relationships with IAG’s bank partner organisations. The FMA regulator has monitored each project, setting aggressive deadlines that we have successfully met. As we near the end of the programme, my role also involves ensuring the effective closure of each project. Key Achievements: • Played a crucial role in designing and testing claims controls reporting to prevent further issues in future. • Identified and facilitated refunds exceeding $1 million to over 2,000 IAG customers across multiple brands.• Contributed to the creation of governance structures, enabling consistent delivery of more than 30 projects within the overall remediation programme.
