PSI Racing is the official motorsports team of NIT Trichy which fabricates an all-terrain vehicle from scratch to participate in offroad events such as BAJA SAE India and Enduro Student India. As a member of the suspension team, I have effectively coordinated within the team to design and fabricate a suspension system for the vehicle.

  Researched the influence of 1-Decanol as a nucleating agent in water by experimentally observing the freezing and melting characteristics of different compositions of 1-Decanol with water in spherical capsules. Plotted the phase change characteristics using OriginPro and reported an optimum amount of 1-Decanol that is to be added to mitigate supercooling of water. The performance of an ice-based cold thermal energy storage system (CTESS) is immensely affected by its supercooling nature. Mitigation of supercooling significantly reduces the chiller operating time and wall temperature required for charging, which leads to the utilization of energy efficiently. Show less

  Designed a cryochamber for an infrared detector using Solidworks and developed steady-state and transient thermal simulations using ANSYS Workbench and COMSOL Multiphysics.   ADAS Algorithm Intern

  • Developed algorithm from scratch for AutoResume functionality of ACC to detect objects in free space utilizing input data from Camera, Radar, and Ultrasound sensors, and assessed performance based on virtual and on-road test scenarios.• Built a PID controller based Curve Speed Assist algorithm to provide a smooth deceleration command during curve navigation by detecting lanes through front camera, map data and generating desired speed profile using road curvature.• Tuned a parameter to mitigate oscillations in steering command of LCC through vehicle testing, data acquisition in ControlDesk, and data replay in Simulink. Also, simulated various scenarios in IPG CarMaker to meet KPI on curved roads.• Additional tasks: modelled and tuned a linear Kalman Filter for ego state estimation, created a functional safety model for ACC to trigger safe state if safety goals fail, map reconstructor analysis for TSR, and AEB LKA analysis for demo.
