      As a member of the Air Force Security Forces, I was a military police officer with arrest powers for 5 and a half years. My duties included but were not limited to: leading a security response force of 15 or more armed personnel, entry control to the highest protection level resources in our nation, being part of the base S.W.A.T, and advising commanders in classified locations on security as it relates to terrorism. Although fully trained and experienced in police duties and responsibilities, I am primarily experienced with the Nation’s highest level of physical security, the Nuclear Security program. Show less

      As the full time Installation Emergency Manager and Chemical Biological & Nuclear (CBRN) Program Specialist for the Portland Air National Guard base (PANG), I lead the CBRN Program for the Air National Guard through training and evaluation of the base populace, coordinating and exercising with outside age cues, as well as the maintenance and accountability of state of the art detection and identification equipment in excess of $1 million. I ensure the base can fulfill its stateside air defense mission at all times, with or without notice, by detailed planning and coordination of multi-agency actions to ensure prompt response during disasters and to allow continuation or restoration of vital functions and operations. I manage the Emergency Operations Center, prepare disaster preparedness annexes, appendices, supplements, and other supporting documents to emergency plans.
