  I was the Vice Managing Director of our Young Enterprise business called: Emergy Power. We were Berkshire's Company of the Year in 2015, and went on to reach the regional level of the Young Enterprise competition. Our product was a unique credit-card sized battery charger offering consumers truly portable power.   I was selected for Marks and Spencer’s Undergraduate summer. program as a retail buyer for the business. I worked within the Beers Wines & Spirits team, under a senior buyer. Over the duration of the internship programme I completed a project looking at ways to improve the profitability of Marks and Spencer’s current online offer, generating ideas and concepts that were so well received that the business has decided to implement them next fiscal year. Skills gained from the experience include: Wider understanding of the overall business P&L, developing a greater appreciation for KPI’s and the challenges they present within a multi national business, networking and better insight into the global retail environment .
