  ACHIEVEMENT  The company conducted a Kaizen program in which I was involved, and I took on the topic of casting rejection control. At that time, there were a lot of casting rejections due to issues like dents, damage, cracks, pinholes, porosity, core fin layer, casting dislocation shrinkage, hardness issues, overweight, and more. The major reasons for rejection were dent and damage, which accounted for 80% of the total rejections.  To address this issue, I analysed the previous records for the product part number and monthly rejection data. I created a PowerPoint presentation on the amount of rejection in the last six months, the cost per single product, transport cost, and the total loss of the last six months. The rejection reasons were directly related to casting, which was thrown in the vehicle, causing damage and dents.  My conclusion was that casting should be stored properly in bins or boxes before being transported in vehicles. RESPONSIBILITIES:  As Per IS2500 Standard Sampling Procedure Based Inspection casting items  Performing casting full layout Inspection, making dimension report for the casting & Hardness inspection  To handle suppliers for the TVS Sundram Fasteners Foundry division's casting items (Gray Iron ASTM A48 Class 30), any issues related to dimensional, chemical, or mechanical properties were highlighted to the supplier and then ratified.   ACHIEVEMENT  During a meeting conducted by the MD on the topic of factory improvement, I suggested implementing 5S to improve factory activities.
