    • Sacred Heart Convent School

      Jan 2011 - Mar 2011
      Primary School Teacher

Sacred Heart is my Alma mater. Just after I finished my Masters, I heard that they were in need of a substitute for a short while, and was inspired to join and teach Class V. I taught all subjects except Hindi, conducted exams and completed end-of-year duties as well. It was a wild, awesome ride, joyful because of how much fun I had with my class. It also led to more inspiration to work with schools. Forever grateful for this opportunity, as I think it shaped my choices later as well.

    • The Heritage Schools

      Apr 2011 - Dec 2011
      Educator - Senior Program

At the Heritage School, I taught Social Studies to Classes 8 and 9, and History to Class 11. It was a rigorous and meaningful learning experience, challenging and rewarding in equal measure. Although I eventually left both for health reasons as well as to focus on higher studies, I carry from this experience a joy in sharing and teaching. I found facilitating learning was a lot more powerful than trying to control learning.

    • Outlook

      Nov 2014 - Feb 2015
      Freelance Editor

As part of my Freelance Editing work, I was offered the opportunity to edit and, to some extent, rewrite Outlook's Travel Guide to Kerala. I especially enjoyed this because I got to learn about the state and its culture and history.

    • Freelance

      Jul 2015 - Aug 2020
      Learning Facilitator and Organiser

Although this is work I now do with my firm, enCOMPASSion, before enCOMPASSion was conceived, I was grateful to be able to offer and share what I understand about Compassionate, or Nonviolent, Communication in events and workshops, most of which were offered in and around Delhi. In addition to this, to support the NVC community in India, I was also happy to help with organising learning events.
