This includes making decisions for appropriate prioritization and recognition of critically ill patients. Skills obtained include competence in physical examination, analysis of imaging and laboratory studies, techniques and procedures such as laceration repair, closed reductions, advanced ventilatory assistance, cardiopulmonary assistance, and fluid resuscitation.
