  Marco Mancini was born in Italy in 1977. He is an Architect, Ph.D. in Design.Graduated cum laude, in 2005 he started his academic and professional activity; his main topics are product design, innovation theory, project and technology for industrial design, with a special focus on the relationship between music and design. Actually he teaches at the University of Ferrara and the Florence Fine Arts Academy. He also collaborates with the University of Florence; he was lecturer at the Interior Design Master (University of Florence) and Visiting Professor in “Innovation in design” at the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), Nanking, China. He published his works on The Design Journal (Taylor&Francis), Diid (industrial Design), Carocci editore, Franco Angeli and others. He was lecturer in international conferences, including: i-Rec Information and Research on Reconstruction, EAD European Academy of Design, EURAU European Research on Architecture and Urbanism.He is an ordinary member of SID (Italian Design Society) and member of Technical Commission of ISO - UNI n°10 TC/33 “Products, Processes and system for the building" board on behalf of the Italian National Council Of Architects.As freelancer his topics are architecture, industrial design and graphics. He projected wineries, a medical clinic and pilot projects about advanced structures for masonry vault safety in prestigious properties (Town Hall of Cecina and Imola, Anime Salve church at L’Aquila). He deals with outfittings and temporary installations for international exhibitions (Pitti Immagine, Florence). He designed integrated systems for the safety of artifacts in emergency conditions: on this matter he holds three patents (with other colleagues). He holds patents on stage products for music.He is a jazz pianist, composer and singer/songwriter enrolled in SIAE (Italian Society of Authors and Editors); beyond the live activity, he published 3 album with his own original songs.
