  Supporting young people from all backgrounds to consider, and be equipped for, Higher Education. My main area of focus is working with our Secondary School partners to deliver activity including campus visits and in school events Working predominantly with pre-16 students as part of the Learn With US Outreach programme delivering off campus workshops, assemblies and careers fairs for our partner schools. Targeted at students identified through Widening Participation targeting, our work is aimed at exploring the concept of Higher Education, and raising the bar at which those students are aiming for. I worked within the UK Student Recruitment and Outreach team at the University of Southampton, co-ordinating and delivering the Access to Southampton Scheme. This widening participation scheme is aimed at supporting students who have the potential to study at the University of Southampton but have factors that have impacted their studies through school and college.
