      Jul 2015 - Sept 2015
      Head Office Showroom Assistant

During this 3 month placement I was constantly preparing the showroom for high class clients and other head office staff. My roles also included organising scheduled meetings, choosing replacement outfits for mannequins, pulling and organising photo-shoot garments, assisting to host the seasonal kick-off events and maintaining general admin and high standards of the showroom. I learnt a lot about the way companies run their seasons and also about how to sell the products that have been designed. Although the placement wasn't design based I have been taught crucial information about other vital areas of the industry that can be transferred back to the design process. I also networked in this placement to complete some independant commission illustrations which was a fantastic opportunity for me as a designer. Show less

      Womenswear Design Intern

During this month long placement I worked with the Womenswear Tailoring and Formal Bottoms design teams to assist with their everyday tasks and workload. In time where technical packs were not needed I also assisted with general tasks such as researching trends, developing garment ideas, creating presentation boards for meetings and organising fabric samples. The placement was an incredible experience into womenswear design and I am looking forward to seeing garments I assisted with designing, brought into stores in the Summer of 2017.
