      Co-Founder

I have always believed in unorthodox ways of making income, and searching for opportunities in everyday life. My business partners and I co-founded a lawn mowing company the summer before our senior year of high school. We began with door to door sales to find clients around our neighborhood. Though we eventually expanded into multiple neighborhoods all around McKinney. During this time, I learned many new skills about running a company; everything from managing employees, to door to door sales, to communicating between partners, and financial accounting. I was given the opportunity to experience a "CEO-like" role at a young age which has given me additional knowledge and experience outside of a classroom setting. Show less

      Camp Counselor

Paying dues has always been a very important value of mine. As a child, I often went to after school camps. These were some of my favorite childhood memories, and it felt only right that I work to give other kids the same magical experience that I had.I worked as a summer camp counselor for LifeTime Fitness Inc. It was my responsibility to look over the kids (age 5-12) and come up with fun games to play. I was able to develop teaching skills through this position, as well as lots of conflict resolution and communication. More often than not, I became a mediator between the kids during conflict, which gave me the opportunity to practice my listening skills. Furthermore, I was able to gain deeper knowledge in personnel decisions by choosing which kids would participate in which activity at which time.Through being a camp counselor, I developed a greater understanding of being in an executive role by being counted on by the campers, as well as discovering my love for kids.
