  Originally a part time / weekend role during my GCSE and A-Level studies, before becoming a full time role in the summer of 2013, Mountain Trax was my first experience of the cycle retail industry. Offering a wide range of products from children's bikes through to world class racing machines, Mountain Trax was the foundation of my passion for performance sport.

  Ride Leader

  My role as a Ride Leader at Just Pedal is a broad one - however the main focus of my job is to look after, motivate, and build friendly relationships with our clients while guiding them round a day (or days!) out on the bike. Our client range is wide, and as such the role requires me to be able to build relationships with people with a broad range of backgrounds and goals. Long days out on the bike can be challenging, and learning what motivates people and keeps them moving forward is something I pride myself on.It's a role which has taught me how to quickly adapt to constantly changing situations - whether it's a mechanical, a medical problem, or simply someone who simply can't turn the pedals anymore, responding to the situation and ensuring customer satisfaction and enjoyment is paramount.On multi day events my role continues off the bike - socialising with clients in the evening and at breakfast, working on bikes so they're in prime condition for the next day, or stocking up the van with another day of food and water. All of this is key to running the best event possible for the client. Show less

  Sales Assistant

  A road cycling focused branch of the already established East St. Cycles group, Hoops Velo allowed me to focus my attention purely towards the road bike. With my role covering a range of aspects from bike fitting and sales, through to stock management and Electronic Point Of Sale (EPOS) development, Hoops Velo gave me an opportunity to take on more responsibility and rapidly develop as a member of a small team within a larger business.A mixture of part time and full time work allowed me to balance my time at Hoops Velo with other pursuits, such as work with Just Pedal and my own competitive cycling aspirations.   Industrial Placement Student - Product Development

  My role within Product Development was a broad one, ranging from competitor and price point analysis to analysing engineering drawings to ensure all of our designs were compliant with the rules of cycling's governing body, the UCI.Boardman allowed me to experience the bike industry from the side of manufacture and distribution as opposed to sales on the shop floor.

  Industrial Placement Student - Engineering Support Officer

  Power On Connections design and provide electrical infrastructure to new and old building projects alike. My role at Power On Connections revolved around working with customers to help design and deliver bespoke solutions, connecting sites to the national grid, and designing the infrastructure within the site.

  Having initially started developing Webinars early in the year, in September 2021 I joined the Marketing team in the newly created role of Group Products and Standards Specialist. With this role, we are seeking to completely change the game with regards to the quality and content of Webinar and Seminar delivery in the Security sector. Using my talent for public speaking, and my ability to deliver complex ideas in a digestible way, I aim to deliver content which is both engaging and highly educational - helping to empower both our staff and our customers.
