  My placement started on 19 June 2012, continuing for a year. It was subsequently extended over summer thus ending on the 6th of September 2013. I worked with the following departments: ⇨ Engineering (Design) department ⇨ Project management department.■ Design/engineering department (June 2012 - Dec 2012):My responsibilities as a trainee design engineer included amending and creating engineering drawings, documenting changing requests, completing job-cards and issuing jobs to production.■ Project management department (Dec 2012 - Sep 2103):As a project manager my main responsibility entailed contacting customers and suppliers thereby managing special job orders. This included coordinating more than one project at a time, working with the following customers and suppliers; Aramco, GE, Petrofac, Prosep, Shell and completing heaters and Control panel inspections.   Working with National Grid Ventures’ to design and build £120 million ‘Main Site Works’ workstream of ‘Capacity 25’ - Grain LNG’s capital expansion and enhancement project.This expansion will be achieved primarily through the installation of:- Three Boil Off Gas Compressors along with the installation of a new Local Equipment Room- Two new Submerged Combustion Vaporisers- Two new Export Tank PumpsFollowing completion of the project Grain LNG will be capable of meeting around one third of the UK’s gas demand and storage at the site will increase to 1.2 million m3 increasing by 20%.My key responsibilities as Senior Engineer: Ensuring project design adheres to the appropriate, Engineering Standards, Specifications, country regulatory codes and customer requirements. Coordinate submission of design deliverables with engineering consultant and ensure submission on time. Leading and attending project meetings with client, engineering contractor, subcontractor, and vendors.
