I was able to get a hands-on experience working in a business environment and learning the logistics and nuances of business research and data.

  This is a small business, family owned dessert shop where I worked part-time. I had the privilege of trying various positions, including server, cashier, and chef in the back. Over the months, I had experience working cashier and dealing with financial aspects, as a server with customer service, and as a cook with product quality and organization. At my time here, I was able to learn about how to run a business as well as get experience working in a collaborative environment with co-workers and develop my leadership + communication skills.   Business Development Intern

  Throughout this 2022 Summer, I have had the unique opportunity of interning at Web Packaging Solutions under many amazing people. While interning here at WPS, I learned about company processes and the inner works of how such an established company can run, which gave me great insight into the business industry itself. My main project as an intern here was to create an As-Is Process Document, which outlines the various company process like Sampling, Ordering, and more. I created detailed flow charts that encompass such processes, as well as a Process Document that outlines the respective steps. Additionally, I took on more marketing-related projects like creating company brochures and data sheets, as well as creating letterheads for orders. I amount of knowledge and skills I have gained throughout this journey are countless. Not only was I able to expand my business knowledge on terminology and internal processes, but I was able to enjoy such a collaborative, hands-on environment. Working with my peers and being able to attend meetings and simply even discuss the content was so exhilarating. Apart from communication skills, I was able to expand my time management skills through the projects, and I saw dedication and motivation in myself. A larger sense of leadership was installed in me as I was able to present my work and guide my fellow intern through her starting days. Show less

  Peer Lead Team Learning Team Leader (TL)

  I am currently a PLTL Leader at UTD, where I conduct sessions on Applied Calculus as a Leader. Here, I spearheaded peer sessions with students to provide additional help in the course and guided students by navigating them through problems. Additionally, I also planned session frameworks and organized weekly meetings with students, and orchestrated group learning environments.

  Marketing Intern

  This summer, I had the fantastic opportunity of working at RVN Inc., an engineering company in Houston that delivers front-end engineering and technology solutions to their clients in the Refining, Energy, Petrochemicals, Food, Pharma, and Agrichemicals markets.Throughout my internship, I embarked on various different projects, such as designing a website with new technology and visuals to be more in current trends and styles, working on the creation of a brochure with various technical elements, creating company business cards and other promotional material, image and logo formatting files, the usage of keywords for image data, SEO image work for the promotion of the company on social platforms, and so much more. As a marketing major, this was my first time experiencing a marketing-based internship, as previous internships have been more general business or analytics-oriented. Not only was I able to expand some of the fundamental marketing skills I would need for future jobs and classes, but I was also able to get experience in marketing in the real world, and this, in turn, furthered my passion for the field from the intriguing and challenging projects.
