  Working as part of Scotland's leading housing, care and property-management group, my role as a Graduate Housing Trainee, and subsequently a Housing Officer, involved acting as the first point of contact between a cohort of 200 customers and the organisation. Whilst working towards tenancies sustainment and rent collection, my role often involved proactively supporting vulnerable customers in resolving any issues with their tenancies. To do so often involved extensive advocation and utilisation of wraparound services and external partners for support.The role of housing officer heavily involved working independently to ensure targets were being met, as evidenced through the use of digital software’s and trackers, whilst also being readily available to adapt your schedule to provide support to customers when appropriate.My role also involved supporting the delivery of the Wheatley Group 5-year strategy which places a heavy focus on digital inclusion. This often involved supporting vulnerable customers and providing guidance on how to embrace new technologies and utilise online services to get the most out of their tenancies.Furthermore, I enjoyed a short secondment within the complaints team, which served to increase my greater understanding of how the wider organisation operates.   My role within SSE initially involved supporting the acquisitions of projects – reviewing, qualifying, and valuing opportunities, and supporting transactions and governance deliverables. Additionally, my role involved supporting sector specific strategic initiatives, including detailed market analysis, competitor analysis, and acquisition strategy. This involved developing an in-depth understanding of the market, project development cycle, project valuation, and investment analysis. My role also supported ad hoc tasks and sector reporting; working with the Sector Director to monitor and report the team's performance to KPIs.My second role within the Solar & Battery team saw me undertake a placement within the Greenfield Development team.Currently I am working within the Solar & Battery commercial team, undertaking placements within both PV and BESS commercial modelling and commercial operations.
