      During one month, I did fieldwork for a project on domesticated and wild pollinators in the urban area of Oslo. This project was part of a master thesis conducted with ByBi Oslo, Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences, and the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA), and analysed the resource selection of honeybees in the city of Oslo. Within the project I collected footage data where I video recorded the lively bustle of three bee hives at two different locations in Oslo to analyse the bee´s waggle dance. Show less

      During my internship as a sustainability consultant, I studied the environmental impacts of the vertical farming site of BySpire, and compared this with other food production methods in Norway, like greenhouses and import from the Mediterranean area. By conducting a life cycle assessment, I determined on which level they are, and compared this to the other food production methods in Norway. This study offers the possibility to outline the future of BySpire by suggesting improvements for their next vertical farming site.Next to this research, I also took part in the daily activities at the vertical farm and learned about the production and all necessary steps, and so got a deeper understanding of the operations, concept and technology.
