  As Development Manager, I was responsible for the standards and governance of all design and development work across UK businesses, including all of the companies’ websites. The goal was to bring industry best practices throughout this international company, in addition to authoring the standards for the corporation. I provided advice and expert guidance on legal requirements and government regulations, for example meeting the Equality Act as well as providing the day-to-day line management, training, and mentoring for the development engineering teams.The key objective of my role was to deliver the new digital architecture that will evolve the company from a 300-year-old offline-focused organisation to a digitally leading insurance and investment provider.
