      Navy Officer/International Trade Control Team Leader

      Navy Officer and Export Compliance Official in the private business sector.  Ranked as the number one Lieutenant within the Navy International Programs Office (NIPO) Command, Washington, D.C.. Developed and presented the U.S. Navy’s official position on over 1,000 license requests from various U.S. corporations. Participated in high-visibility negotiations with foreign embassies, U.S. Department of Defense, and Department of Homeland Security (TS Clearance). Deployed for Operation Just Cause, including independent shore based operations within the Middle East Area of Operation, and NATO operations in support of Operation Desert Fox/Operation Noble Anvil.       Aquatics Director/Head Coach

      Directed all aspects of the Academy aquatics program including the high school and USA-Swimming club teams, community learn-to-swim program, American Red Cross Lifeguard and PADI scuba classes, water polo club, and facility rental management/scheduling. Developed, trained and supervised a highly skilled staff of over 15 coaches and swim instructors. Interacted with the Academy president, Athletic Director, CFO, and Academic Dean concerning budget development, recruitment, employee/student training, and contract negotiations. Oversaw the completion of the Academy’s multi-million dollar aquatic center in 2005. Founded the Fork Union Aquatic Club (USA-Swimming Club Team) in 2006.  Coached one World Championship participant, 21 All-Americans, multiple USA-Swimming Junior National Qualifiers, and over 50 All-State recipients, individual and relay state champions, state record holders and conference champions.  2010 and 2011 Virginia State Champions. Ranked 5th in the nation on the NISCA Power Point Rankings (private schools); top 10 in the country in 2009, 2010, and 2011. Virginia High School Coach of the Year (2008-09, 2009-10). Virginia Prep League Champions (2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11).       Directs all aspects of the SPIRE Institute aquatics program including the 400+ member Silver Medal USA-Swimming club team, Lake Erie Silver Dolphins, the SPIRE Academy post graduate and prep school program, swim camps, masters swim team, learn-to-swim program, adult aquatic fitness programs, and facility rental management/scheduling. Trained and supervises a highly skilled staff of over 30 instructors, coaches, lifeguards and pool operators.  Developed the training program for the age group and National Team squads; coached high level athletes including a 2012 Olympian, 22 time NCAA Division II All-American and Women’s National Championship Runner-up, 2012 USA-Swimming Women’s Open Water National Championship participant (16th place finish), 2nd fastest 13 year old female in the United States (2011), and seven Junior National Qualifiers and individual high school state champions. Led team to five consecutive LSC Team Championship Titles from 2011-2013. Designed and implemented all aspects of the SPIRE academy and swim camp programs, including a comprehensive marketing and student athlete recruitment plan.  Directed multiple high level performance and stroke camps for up to 120 swimmers. Oversaw the completion of SPIRE Institute’s multi-million dollar aquatic center in 2011, including the Myrtha 50 meter competition pool, and 25 yard recreation/instruction pool. Successfully bid and/or secured on the following events: o NCAA Division I Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Conference Championship o USA-Water Polo Olympic Development Program Region Championship o USA-Swimming Speedo Sectional Championship o NCAA DII Women's Western Division Water Polo Championship o NWPA Water Polo Region Championship o USA-Swimming Junior Olympic Championship o USA-Swimming LESI Long Course Championship o USA-Swimming Central Zone Age Group Championship o USA Masters National Championship Show less
