Reviews component design and hydrostatic/hydrodynamic activities for operational, installation and inspection/maintenance conditions, and verifies the compatibility of hydrostatic & hydrodynamic design loads with other interfacing disciplines. Performs Intact & Damage Stability analysis for vessel project and operation aspects. Prepares the calculation of light ship’s weight distribution, weight & CoG (Center of Gravity) estimation and radius of gyrations. Performs scantling analysis, develops and reviews of the drawings, strength analysis, fatigue analysis and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for local structures. Evaluates vendors’ bid for Naval Architecture packages under supervision of Senior/Lead Naval Architect Engineer to ensure they meet technical requirements as stipulated in the project specifications and then gives the assessment to the Buyer to follow up with tender evaluation, price negotiation and award process. Participates in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)/Site Acceptance Test (SAT) to ensure the functioning of component or equipment as per specifications. Where necessary, works with the suppliers/contractors concerned to rectify the technical issues for timely project execution. Provides engineering support to Construction/Commissioning work at site, troubleshoots and rectifies the gaps or problems. Where necessary, provides off-site support and advice. Show less

And then monthly review of logs processes and attend to vessel inspections. Perform budgeting and cost control measures on ship spares and docking requirements.-Monitor technical status of vessel with relation to class cert and survey-Ensure and maintain vessels zero loss time accident record and to report all vessel incidents, Near Misses to prevent and eliminate potential incidents.
