Show less Employed by two grant funded prevention programs in the Department of Wellness at Oklahoma State University. I served as the prevention specialist for the Regional Prevention Coordinator covering Payne, Pawnee, Kay, Osage, and Noble counties. Within those counties, I sit on the Kay County Substance Abuse Project and Osage County Drug Free Team Coalitions. I fulfill contract requirements such as Responsible Beverage Sales and Service Trainings for alcohol servers and vendors, alcohol and tobacco compliance checks with youth and law enforcement, assess local alcohol vendors/events to reduce liability and create safer establishments, and work with too much too lose youth groups in local schools. I also served as the SWAT (Students Working Against Tobacco) Coordinator for Payne county with the TSET (Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust) grant. In Payne county, I have five SWAT teams comprised of junior high and high schoolers that meet every month to put together tobacco prevention efforts to expose the tobacco industry. Many of these events take place during The Great American Smoke Out & Kick Butt's Day. In July 2015, this grant switched over to the Healthy Living Program grant where I remained a specialist and was covering various sectors (schools, businesses, organizations, communities, governments, etc.).
