Co-Directed THE DAGGER AND WHITE LILY with Justyna ZiarekConceived and Choreographed by Justyna ZiarekWritten by Hayley GogginA dance based adaptation that blurs the line between fantasy and reality..."The most crucial scene (...) is heart-breaking and is made all the more painful by how beautifully it is created. It’s disturbing to be so wrapped up in the scene, but it is so well presented that it is nearly impossible not to be enraptured......The dancing and acting are combined seamlessly, and the message from the show stays with you long after you exit the theatre. The Dagger and White Lily is certainly not for the faint of heart, but it is a moving piece with exceptional dancing." Everything Theatre *** Show less

Directed SaloméWritten by Oscar WildeAdapted by Shane CallaghanProduced by Oran DoyleMovement by Justyna ZiarekMovement, dance and music come together to provide a modern spin on Oscar Wilde’s classic play. A feminist, physical adaptation. "Theatre Libre's style of physical theatre is well suited to creating the sexually charged world of the play.""This is an innovative take on a classic, very much in the spirit of Wilde's daring and luxurious take on theatre...an affecting piece of theatre that is both thought provoking and enjoyable." - Female Arts ****"There are some lovely touches by director Kaitlin Argeaux. The opening sequence in which Salomé is unveiled...veers between ethereal and disturbing...The dance of the seven veils (...) it may not be the dance I expected, but it's magnificent nonetheless. There are some distinct flashes of brilliance in this play and a huge amount of ambition...Salomé is every bit as monstrous and disturbing as it should be."View From the Gods ***"Théâtre Libre’s interpretation of Salomé is compelling."A Younger Theatre"...Argeaux’s modern, feminist interpretation of the play is intelligent and well thought out"The F Word"It is with much credit to Théâtre Libre’s director Kaitlin Argeaux for not limiting the focus on the drama of the play but mastering the ability to evoke an engaging and terrifying image of Salome through great support and superb execution of its leading actress....Théâtre Libre has taken Wilde’s text to the next level with their gift for physical theatre..."London Theatre 1 ****(Chosen for the Top Ten Theatre shows in 2015 by Trend Fem)"Fearless, beautifully stylized physical theatre....a powerful, intelligently theatrical performance from a company well worth watching."Remotegoat **** Show less

It lands right at the intersectionality of race, gender and class to present an explosive exploration of white privilege, masculinity, power and sexuality."As part of Black History Month, Kaitlin Argeaux has resurrected Amiri Baraka’s 1964 political allegory Dutchman...Its uncompromising assault on black integration in purely elitist white terms is still powerful." - Morning Star ***"...an engaging, confident performance." - British Theatre Guide"Director Kaitlin Argeaux begins to encapsulate the complexity of intersectionality and this makes for an intriguing watch...A political piece of theatre delivered satirically..." - Theatre Full Stop ****"Hallucinatory and challenging, it has lost none of its power to speak to race relations today..." - Ought To Be Clowns"Kaitlin Argeaux, working with associate director Sheila Nortley, aids the central performers with a tightly controlled ensemble who make up other passengers." - Once A Week Theatre"Kaitlin Argeaux’ sensitive direction brings out strong performances from her cast. This is a challenging piece rhythmically, and she succeeds in building the tension and unease to their natural and very violent conclusion." - View From the Outside Show less
