    • A.M. Tshirts

      Dec 2010 - Dec 2012
      Owner/Founder

Being entrepreneurially minded virtually since birth, I started a t-shirt company in high school when I discovered the need for club shirts. All of the school organizations wanted club shirts to express themselves as a community in a fun way. I saw the opportunity to mix my artistic and design skills with my knack for entrepreneurship. Fortunately, I also had a teacher and mentor in design work who supported me in bringing my ambition to life. That’s how I started my very first venture.

    • LEAD Scholars Academy

      Aug 2011 - May 2013
      Leadership Development Director

This was the first position that has defined the rest of my life. Up until joining LEAD, I didn’t realize that I was a leader with the ability to empower others. Initially, I applied to a different position in LEAD. However, the professors immediately thought it was a no-brainer for me to be in the position of Leadership Development Director. They saw in me an innate ability to empower and articulate the potential of others. And they saw I had the emotional intelligence to understand what other students were going through and to help them move through their hardships in a positive way.As Development Director, I led a team of 15 student committee members, and I managed and executed all aspects of the Leadership Week Conference, including a $16,000 budget, speaker coordination, and marketing strategy. I also created, implemented, and presented leadership and professional development workshops throughout the year. All in my sophomore year. Show less

    • University of Central Florida

      Aug 2012 - Feb 2015

As the Guest Services Supervisor, I served as the front lines of information at UCF, providing resources to anyone and everyone who visited the university. Because I had previously worked as an ambassador of UCF’s President’s Leadership Council, I was chock full of knowledge about the university and in a perfect position to provide exceptional customer service. This position gave me the opportunity to welcome guests on a daily basis to the university that I adore. I also supervised the student union and 24-hour study areas, and collaborated with a team to maintain stock and maintenance of the facilities. In our All Knight Study Spaces, I oversaw associate employees and all functional aspects, including the mitigation of any problems as they occurred. Show less At the UCF Student Union, I learned how to build community, as well as key organizational and administrative principles. I proudly led the creation of the UCF Bike Share program as the primary student coordinator, a legacy that lasts until this day. And I was hand selected among the Student Union employees to attend ACUI, a leadership conference for Student Unions in the Southeast region.Additionally, I processed payments, work orders, equipment reservations, scheduling, data entry, and other office support. I utilized the EMS data system to schedule reservations of tents, bicycles, banner spaces and other equipment, and facilitated meetings and discussions with various university professionals. All these community organizing skills have served me well ever since. Show less

    • Knight-Thon at the University of Central Florida

      May 2013 - May 2014
      Partnership Development Director

As Partnership Development Director, I raised $30,000 in monetary and in-kind contributions from local, regional, and national businesses for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. I did so by identifying leads, managing client relationships, and driving a multimedia marketing campaign. I created sponsorship packets for both large sponsors and small businesses. For each sponsorship, I generated unique partnership contract agreements. I also managed a fundraising team of 9 individuals and their associated projects.Overall, it was a unique experience. I was simultaneously serving on the President’s Leadership Council, working as a UCF Maintenance & Operations Assistant, and attending school full-time. I learned to be extremely mindful of how I managed my time and focused my energies. My work forced me to grow rapidly and teach myself an enormous amount of fundraising and partnership skills in a short period of time. In the end, it all paid off, as my achievement of $30,000 in donations surpassed the previous year's fundraising efforts by over $10,000! Show less

Hosting the delegation was a beautiful cultural exchange experience that aligned perfectly with my background in International Studies.Other community initiatives I coordinated included the Family Homelessness Committee and the Orange County Domestic Violence & Child Abuse Commission. I also assisted Mr. Dick Batchelor in attending meetings, luncheons, and various events. Dick was someone I had met previously and asked to mentor me. • Blezoo

      Feb 2016 - Aug 2017
Key Account Manager and Office Manager

I joined Blezoo because I wanted to join an innovative, fast-growing company where I could have an impact. While there, the company doubled in size, and I proactively created $106,000 in new business revenue exclusively through my personal network. Thanks to my prior leadership and work experiences, I had built personal, long-lasting connections with leaders and decision makers at UCF and in the greater Orlando community. At Blezoo, I developed many of these personal relationships into business partnerships. One of my biggest initiatives was to develop a program for onboarding student buyers at UCF. Through this and other initiatives, I learned how to keep businesses top of mind by engaging in meaningful and timely communications strategies. Our focus was on delighting customers and adding value to each person’s experience, no matter what. And, as Office Manager, I operationally managed a successful $2 million company using lean methodology. Inviting Angela to see an idea from the window of possibilities is helpful and useful. Her creativity and perspective helps build clarity into the implementation of ideas and fulfillment of dreams.” Tim Cambridge, Founder, Brick Road Comedy"Angela Minerva changes my life! It feels like I was searching for the door to happiness and Angela was like “hey it’s actually simple” and then proceeded to ask incredibly insightful questions. Which helped me realize I was holding onto an identity of who I believed I was based on perceptions and memories that weren’t the full truth. Every time I participate in a space she leads (speeches, workshops, coaching sessions, etc.) I walk away and immediately implement something into my day that causes a momentous shift in the direction of greater fulfillment, happiness, and gratitude. The University of Central Florida’s Teaching Incentive Program rewards sustained high levels of teaching effectiveness among professors. As a member of the committee, I reviewed candidate portfolios containing teaching assignments, student evaluations, and other supporting documentation for the past four academic years. I had the responsibility and privilege of evaluating the teaching quality and effectiveness, continuing commitment to instruction, consideration of class size (large versus small), and innovation and creativity in instruction of all candidates.By working with committee faculty members and reviewing professor portfolios, I gained a greater understanding of the teaching perspective.
